Athletic Training

Coaching and Technique
Proper coaching and technique training is imperative to canoe paddling, we work closely together to critique and improve technique, prepare training programs, drills and cross training. We will help you build a yearly  program and a cross training schedule, drawing from experts in the fields of coaching, canoe paddling and physical fitness.

Training Sessions
Some of the best training workouts include some form of competition, pushing yourself just a bit harder then you might if you were training alone. We announce training sessions on our website, just show up and we will provide the workout, which we promise will be challenging, fun and painful.

Canoe Building

We have the plans, the warehouse and now just need the materials and funds to build our own six person canoe. This project means a lot to us, as we find it to be a significant part of the canoe culture. We are really stoked about this project and if you know anyone who might be interested in sponsoring this canoe, please let us know. If you would like to be part of this project, we will need everything from materials to tools and storage.

Na Opio – Youth Development

Geared towards youth ages 13-18, our focus will be on passing on the fundamental skills of canoe paddling and culture. We will hold camps and clinics and also integrate the youth into our other programs through mentorship, training and racing.

Adventure Paddling

Turns out you do not need to fly to the islands to find beautiful water, great downwind runs and exotic locations. From circumnavigating Whidbey Island, the San Juan Island to paddling from Seattle to Neah Bay, adventure paddling gives us the opportunity to better understand our waters while also spending quality time on the water and close to nature.

  • Whidbey Island Circumnavigation – 100 miles in 3 days
  • Seattle to Bellingham – 100 miles
  • Bellingham to Vancouver Canada – 65 miles
  • San Juan Islands
  • Seattle To Neah Bay
